Numerous national healthcare pressures and difficulties affect and have an impact on healthcare institutions nationwide. They’re all critical concerns, but some are more pressing. One of the most significant demands in healthcare is upskilling healthcare professionals. Li (2022) defines upskilling as retraining employees to learn new skills and stay in their field. Nurses need current skills due to healthcare advances, notably in technology. PwC Health Research Institute identified upskilling as one of six 2019 healthcare priorities. If healthcare personnel don’t upskill, AI may make them obsolete. Nurses have yet to employ technology to offer treatment.
Upskilling as a healthcare problem has a significant influence on my company. Developing healthcare technologies is increasingly required in diagnostics, treatments, and nursing. This leaves nurses needing more abilities to provide effective patient care. The firm allocates money to retrain and improve its nurses to adapt to technological advances. Organizations must create comprehensive strategies that meet their goals and encourage continuous learning to manage upskilling’s organizational effect. Organizations should assess their employees’ skills and areas for improvement. This data supports targeted upskilling to fill skill gaps. Collaborations with educational institutions, industry experts, or online learning platforms can provide relevant training. Performance management systems with upskilling align employee progress with corporate goals, encouraging accountability and participation. A supportive upskilling environment is crucial.
